Abstract

This Final Degree Project presents the design and implementation of an adaptive real-time streaming system using the low latency DASH protocol, specifically intended for IP cameras in the context of the railway sector. The research discusses the need to provide optimized and adaptive video streams for the different situations that could be presented. The methodology includes the development of DASH-based adaptation algorithms to ensure efficient delivery of multimedia content, considering real-time bandwidth limitations and variations. In addition, a user interface is implemented through a web page that allows the visualization of streaming results, providing users with an interactive and intuitive experience. The practical implications and the possibilities of future application in security and surveillance systems make this work a valuable contribution in the field of technology applied to railway transportation.
